Civic Engagement Banquet
In the university’s mission to provide Buckeyes with not only a diploma, but an “Education for Citizenship,” the Office of Student Life’s Social Change recognizes those in our community making great changes and impacts in civic engagement and service. Awards are named after notable philanthropists and are given to individuals embodying that service to others.
In 2017, The Ohio State University, Social Change will be hosting the Fourth Annual Civic Engagement Banquet to be held on October 3, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Ohio Union Performance Hall. This event will recognize those in the university community that epitomize Ohio State's mission of “Education for Citizenship” and our values of service learning and engagement.
We encourage anyone, regardless of their affiliation with Ohio State, to nominate a current or former Buckeye who truly embodies the spirit of paying forward and the university motto “Education for Citizenship”. Please read through the categories and awards carefully to nominate the Ohio State change makers that come to mind.
This banquet is funded through the generous support of central Ohio businesses and their sponsorships. Not only do we recognize the significant role community partners and businesses in the central Ohio area play in fostering a tremendous culture of civic engagement in Columbus, but we would like to cordially invite any interested company to be a part of this extraordinary event.
